Curriculum

The Lifeskills curriculum adopts a storytelling and inquiry-based approach to deepen students’ understanding of the school values—Respect, Integrity, Care, and Excellence. Weekly alignment between Value Moments and Lifeskills lessons ensures a coherent focus on a common value message, reinforcing consistency in learning.

At the end of each term, students engage in self- and peer-assessment using rubrics in their Lifeskills booklets. Aligned with the HDP “I Will” statements, these tools support students in reflecting on their growth and demonstration of values. Students also affirm their peers by presenting cut-out certificates to those who exemplify the values, fostering a culture of recognition and appreciation.

Through Lifeskills lessons, students are introduced to Design Thinking as a problem-solving approach. By considering issues from the perspective of the end-user, students develop empathy, think critically, and build confidence—growing into thinkers today and leaders tomorrow.
