Synopsis
ICT Club
The ICT Club provides students with exciting opportunities to explore the world of technology through robotics and game creation coding. Through hands-on learning, students develop essential 21st-century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a fun and engaging environment.
Students are introduced to a variety of platforms, including Scratch, MakeCode Arcade, mBot, and drones, allowing them to design, build, and program their own digital and robotic projects.
Game Creation & Coding
Through designing their own games and animations, students will:
-
Develop computational thinking skills by breaking down problems and creating step-by-step solutions using coding concepts such as loops and conditionals
-
Express their creativity by building interactive stories, games, and animations with visuals and sound
-
Strengthen problem-solving skills by identifying errors, testing solutions, and improving their projects through trial and refinement
Robotics
Through hands-on robotics activities, students will:
-
Understand how hardware and software work together to control robots and drones
-
Learn to program and automate movements and responses using sensors
-
Build resilience and critical thinking by testing, evaluating, and improving their designs through iterative learning
The ICT Club nurtures confident and curious learners who are ready to thrive in a technology-driven world.
Art Club
The Art Club nurtures students’ creativity through outdoor competitions, craftwork, and hands-on experiences.
Emphasising drawing and painting from observation, students develop sensitivity to nature, colour, and aesthetics.
They gain real-world insights from art vendors and create meaningful artworks, including tokens for special occasions for the school.
Through sharing and discussions, students refine their skills, explore personal expression, and grow into thoughtful, visually aware individuals.
