Key Programmes
Applied Learning Programme (ALP): Enhanced Spoken Language (P1–P6)
The ALP in Enhanced Spoken Language provides a structured progression of oracy skills from Primary 1 to Primary 6, moving from poetry and storytelling to drama, public speaking, and TED-style presentations. Through authentic and purposeful speaking opportunities, students develop confidence, clarity, and adaptability in communication across different audiences and contexts.
Library Fortnight
Library Fortnight is a school-wide initiative that promotes a love for reading through engaging activities, storytelling sessions, and interactive experiences. It encourages students to explore a wide range of texts, develop reading habits, and deepen their appreciation for literature in a vibrant and language-rich environment.
Spin-a-Tale
Spin-a-Tale provides students with a platform to craft and present original stories creatively. Through this programme (Internal and Cluster), students develop their storytelling, expression, and performance skills while building confidence in sharing their ideas with an audience.
Project ExcITE (Exciting Integrated Thematic Experience)
Project ExcITE empowers lower primary students to co-plan learning experiences with their teachers and present their ideas to peers. Through this process, students exercise choice and voice, taking ownership of their learning and developing confidence in expressing their perspectives, thereby nurturing early advocacy skills.
English Language Champions (EL Champs)
EL Champs are student ambassadors who promote the use and appreciation of the English Language through reading and speaking initiatives. They lead activities such as recess reading sessions and storytelling, fostering a positive language culture and inspiring their peers to communicate confidently.
kidsREAD Programme
The kidsREAD programme, in partnership with the National Library Board, supports students in developing a love for reading through guided reading sessions. It provides a supportive environment for students to build confidence, improve language skills, and experience the joy of shared reading.
