Key Programmes
Intervention Programme
Low-ability (LA) PE intervention programme was started with the objective of not leaving anyone behind. The programme is designed to identify pupils who are behind their peer or age group in gross development skills. The programme is targeted to P1 & P2 as it is the foundation years for gross development skills. The main gross development skills comprises locomotor skills and object control skills such as striking and throwing. The use of iPads and online applications is used to provide immediate feedback for the pupils so that they are able to evaluate their performance and improve on their performance.
Positive Living Carnival (PLC)
Students participated in a range of mental and physical activities designed to mirror the challenges they may encounter in the future. Working in multiracial groups, they drew on the strengths of each member to achieve shared objectives, reflecting the importance of collaboration within a diverse community. The selected activities also fostered a love for outdoor physical activity, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Lower primary students took part in a parent–teacher–student activity, highlighting the strong partnerships between the school and the wider community.
Aesthetic elements were incorporated through Art and Music stations, where pupils had the opportunity to participate in and appreciate the arts, contributing to a truly holistic educational experience.
The Art department organised competitions for lower primary students, while upper primary students engaged in collaborative artworks displayed around the school. These efforts symbolise community bonds, racial harmony, and strength in unity.
The Music department provided opportunities for students to explore creativity through instrument-making and music creation using self-made instruments. Activities provide a platform for pupils to build confidence in their abilities while learning to appreciate one another’s strengths and differences.
