Key Programmes
P3 Integrated Project Work – Boat Making
Students engage in an interdisciplinary project where learning across subjects comes together meaningfully. Applying their understanding of the properties of materials, they design and construct boats that can float and carry load. This hands-on experience strengthens their ability to apply scientific concepts in real-world contexts while developing collaboration and problem-solving skills.
iSTRETCH Programme
The iSTRETCH (E2K) programme provides opportunities for students to be stretched beyond the core curriculum through hands-on scientific investigations. Students carry out experiments, explore ideas in greater depth, and are encouraged to think critically and independently. The programme nurtures curiosity and builds confidence in applying scientific thinking to new situations.
Environmental Education Committee (EEC)
The Environmental Education Committee leads the school’s efforts in promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. Through programmes such as Eco-Tuesday and student-led initiatives, students learn about real-world environmental issues and are empowered to take responsibility as Eco-Stewards, making informed and responsible choices in their daily lives.
Curriculum-Aligned Activities
Students participate in level-specific activities designed to deepen their understanding of Science concepts through authentic and engaging tasks:
-
P3 – Zoo Exhibit: Students design an exhibit by applying their understanding of animal characteristics and habitats.
-
P4 – Cooler Box: Students apply knowledge of heat gain and heat loss to design a cooler box that keeps items cold.
-
P5 – Investigative Project: Students plan and carry out investigations, developing skills in inquiry, data collection, and analysis.
-
P6 – Create an Imaginary Mutant : Students apply their understanding of adaptations by designing a digital organism suited to a chosen environment using AI tools.
STEM Post-Exam Activities
After examinations, students engage in STEM-based activities that provide opportunities for exploration, creativity, and application of learning. These activities encourage students to tinker, design, and solve problems, helping them develop a deeper interest in Science and Technology in a fun and engaging environment.
Experiential Learning – Beetle Bugs
Through the Beetle Bugs programme, students learn about living things through direct observation and interaction. They explore the characteristics, needs, and life cycles of beetles, developing curiosity and a deeper appreciation for biodiversity. This hands-on experience makes learning more meaningful and memorable.
